We are committed to the privacy of our customers and our employees. We respect the concerns you may have with regard to your privacy, and appreciate your trust in us. We handle information under the terms provided for by law, and in accordance with our internal security and confidentiality policies and procedures.

By accessing this website, the user agrees to accept and comply with this Privacy Policy.
The Customer/Applicant should read this policy prior to sending his/her personal data, i.e. all information gathered and recorded in relation to his/her identity (e.g. name, address, contact information, etc.).
The Customer shall ensure that minors under 18 years of age do not provide any personal data without the Parent's consent.

Under this policy, we undertake to:
Explain the purpose for gathering and processing personal data;
Use personal data exclusively for the purposes referred to in this policy;
Collect only personal data which is required, taking measures to keep it up-to-date;
Keep personal data for the time needed to process it, in accordance with local legislation;
Provide tools for Customers/Applicants to modify, correct or delete their personal data;
Maintain confidentiality and security with regard to the personal data furnished, except as required by judicial ruling.

SCOPE
Our privacy policy applies to the following cases:
Processing of data implemented at any of our hotels, restaurants or other points of sale.


1. GATHERING AND PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA

If you are a Customer, your personal data and/or the personal data of your family members may be requested for various purposes, such as:
Contact information: name, nationality, telephone number, email, address, date of birth; Credit card data (type of card, card number, cardholder name, expiry date, security code)
Arrival and departure dates at our hotels/restaurants or other points of sale
Information on your children: name, date of birth, age, email
Interests and preferences, such as: location of desired apartment/room, desired type of apartment/room and bed, favourite newspaper, etc.
Customer comments during or after staying at one of our hotels.

If you are a job or traineeship Applicant, the following personal data may be requested:
Name, nationality, telephone number, email, address, date of birth, CV;
Personal data may be collected under various circumstances, including (but not limited to) the following:
Participation in marketing programs (subscription to newsletters to receive offers/promotions, contributions in customer comments and/or surveys);
Hotel activities (e.g. reserving an apartment/room or table, check in and check out; requests and/or complaints);
Provision of information by tourism operators, travel agencies or online reservation systems;
Internet activities: (connection to website, completion of forms for gathering data online such as online reservations, questionnaires, etc.);
Application for job or traineeship.


2. PURPOSES OF GATHERING PERSONAL DATA
Managing customer accommodations and reservations;
Improving the services at our hotels, restaurants and other points of sale in order to understand your needs and exceed your expectations;
Provide and bill for products and services purchased by users;
Provide services (newsletters, campaigns, events and promotions). The Customer may cancel his/her subscription to our email newsletter by clicking on the link in any newsletter.
Employee recruitment.


3. SHARING OF PERSONAL DATA
The personal data of Customers/Applicants may have to be shared with:
Employees of the group, namely to provide requested services and/or manage Customer/Applicant databases;
Local authorities, if required by local legislation or as part of internal investigations in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
We also reserve the right to transmit any personal data in the event of the company's sale or transfer, partially or in whole.
Whenever personal data is transferred to third parties, we will strictly comply with applicable legal obligations, and will make every effort to ensure that these third parties use the personal data gathered in a manner appropriate with this Privacy Policy.


4. PERSONAL DATA ACCESS, MODIFICATION AND DELETION
The Customer/Applicant may correct, add to, update or delete his/her personal data by contacting us via email at: teresaluz@vitorsplaza.pt We will handle your request as soon as possible.
Prior to making any changes, a copy of a valid identification document may be requested to safeguard Customers' privacy and identity.


5. PERSONAL DATA SECURITY
All of the necessary technical and organizational measures have been taken, in accordance with legal requirements, to protect the personal data of the Customer/Applicant, and to ensure its confidentiality in accordance with the principles laid out in this policy.
Whenever your credit card information is requested, this is done via a secure SSL (Secured Sockets Layer) line, when using browsers allowing SSL, such as Microsoft Internet Explorer and Google Chrome.

Since we may periodically change this privacy policy, we advise that you consult it on a regular basis. This privacy policy was last updated on 30 October 2014.
